Year 5

Reading for Enjoyment 

In Year 5, we are finding that we can escape with a good book . Mrs Blacoe officially opened the area. 

Mrs Blacoe told us about how books enable us to travel to all sorts of destinations and can give us the tools to dream big. We read our books for enjoyment for at least twenty five minutes every day. 
The children are enthused and excited about their reading journey. we have a reading passport that encourages everyone to read different genres and try books by new authors. The children discuss their books with each other and are encouraged to get Reader of the Week by showing a commitment to reading by discussing plot and character.
