Year 1

Reading for Enjoyment
 

Our ‘Book Nook’ in Year 1 is a cosy corner where the children enjoy looking at and reading books from lots of different genres. 
The children enjoy using the puppet theatre to retell their favourite stories or even make up their own. 
 

Our children can choose a book buddy to read with, relax whilst using some of our fidget toys whilst reading and write book reviews based on what they have read.

The children use our book nook at specific times of the day and look forward to seeing what books are there each term.
