Whole Class Guided Reading

Autumn 2023
 

We do Whole Class Guided Reading four days a week in Year 1. 
This half term we have been focussing on stories from the same author in English and have been reading Oliver Jeffers books.
We have been using clues in our mystery box to predict what characters, setting, feelings and story it might be. 
The children have been comparing the Oliver Jeffers stories and have been finding out what new words mean. We have been learning new vocabulary and have used this in our Talk for Writing in English. 
 

We have also been using some of our PSHE books in our Guided Reading sessions.
