Roman Sandal DT Project - Spring Term 2021

The children in Year 4 have previously studied the Romans. This term, they have used their knowledge of this time period along with additional research to design an make Roman sandals.
The children began by collating their research, they then created draft and final designs. Following this, they made prototypes from paper, card and string and a used a variety of cutting and sticking techniques. They then analysed their prototypes before moving on to their final creation. For their final product they chose the materials they thought best for purpose and used a range of cutting, stitching strengthening and sticking techniques to make their designs.
