Art

Summer 1- Andy Warhol

We were inspired by the pop artist, Andy Warhol, to create our final piece on King Charles III to display at our art exhibition. First, we traced the king 4 times. Then, we painted our portraits using bright, bold colours to embrace the pop art. Finally, we drew around our painting in black to make it stand out!

Spring 2- David Hockney

We used our viewfinders to sketch in detail a section of one of David Hockney’s famous Landscape art pieces.

We used oil pastels to sketch and colour our own version of David Hockney’s Landscape art.

We created our own collages using different materials to replicate a picture of our outdoor greenery.

Autumn 1- Victorian Tiles

Year 2 explored Victorian floor patterns and discussed what they liked and disliked about the different patterns and colours. We then chose our favourite to sketch, working on repeated patterns and shading. We put together our own tiles to create a Victorian floor pattern! Then, we created our own Victorian tile plans and made these out of clay, carving in our own design. Finally, we painted our finished product!
