What an amazing afternoon Year 4 have had! As part of our PSHE topic we are studying animal welfare. We took a trip to Parbold Equestrian Centre where 80% of the horses are rescue animals. The children learnt so much about how the horses are looked after and even got a chance to groom them themselves. It really did bring learning to life.🐴❤️😊

Making a 999 call and practising the recovery position

Spring 1- How can we manage our feelings?

Our Big Question

Our strategies for coping with anger

We looked at different emotions using the colour monster

We use our glitter jar in class as a way of calming our minds. You can make one at home. Follow the link to find out more about the glitter jar and how to use it at home: https://youtu.be/RVA2N6tX2cg

We read the story of ‘The Invisible String’. From here, we explored loss, grief and change.

Autumn Term 2 - Our big question

Respect

The children thought about what respect looks like and what it sounds like.

Autumn Term 2021 - What strengths, skills and talents do we have?

We started our new school year by practising our thinking skills. We used a technique called ‘Thinking Pairs’ and took the time to really listen to each other and share our thoughts and ideas about our hopes for the year ahead.

Autumn Term 2021 - our class agreement and this half term’s big question

Our class ‘Ask it Basket’ - this is available every day for children to add questions to that they may not want to ask in front of their peers.

Autumn term 2021 - Self-esteem

Our well-being jars

We thought about what makes us individual and unique - we added our ideas to our working wall
