Year 1

Autumn Term 2020

Year 1 have been exploring colour using paint. The children have used techniques such as colour mixing and have used different sized brushes for different effects and detailed work.

The children were introduced to famous Artist Vincent Van Gogh and looked at a range of his different work.

We looked at the colour wheel and identified primary and secondary colours.

We made observational drawings of autumn leaves in our art lessons and in continuous provision.

We then used our skills to draw and paint our own Autumn Landscape in the style of Vincent Van Gogh using water colours.
