Our School

2023/2024

Today the children learnt about human and physical features. After talking about what human and physical features are, we went on a walk around our school to see if we could find some.

We made a large scale map of our classroom using photographs of each area of the room. The children then sketched their own map of the classroom based upon this.

2022/2023

Year 1’s field trip around Ashurst was a huge success. We looked at and sketched the different types of houses linking to our history topic and then looked at places in our community where we can buy milk and bread, places where we can play, eat and get medicine. We talked about how we travel to school and followed a map in different directions in 2 different groups.
