Forest School

In our first forest school session, we loved making ninja stars using sticks, as well as painting using earth pigments such as berries from the bush and mud. We enjoyed reading some wildlife books in our den too.

In forest school today, we learnt how to build a den, some of us even made a hammock! We also made some natural cocktails, choosing our ingredients carefully from the environment. Of course, we loved getting muddy too!

We loved collecting leaves and imprinting them into clay. We also used a hammer to print leaves into a cloth as well as planting our own tree seeds that we collected!

This week we focussed on habitats and mini-beasts. We made different types of webs, including using a conker! We then collected lots of different materials to add to our bug hotel.

A celebration! Toasting marshmallows, making bread and drinking hot chocolates. We practised our fire safety too.
