Mathematics

Nursery 2022-2023

We have been practising how to count this term by using autumnal materials like conkers!

Nursery 2021-2022

We used the blocks to build towers, houses and rockets! The children selected the blocks that they wanted to use carefully and learnt about why we can’t use a cylinder on its side or a sphere for a roof.

We have been learning about 2D shapes. The children had to try to make the shapes using cotton buds and pipe cleaners. We also talked about how many sides the shapes had!

We have been counting fish!

We have been learning about repeating patterns.
