Accessibility Plan
An accessibility plan is a document that explains how our school will make sure all children—including those with disabilities—can fully take part in school life. It is a legal requirement for schools in the UK under the Equality Act 2010.
An accessibility plan shows how our school removes barriers so every child can:
- Learn in lessons
- Move around the school safely
- Join in activities, trips, and events
The three key areas:
1. Access to learning (the curriculum)
How the school adapts teaching so all children can succeed.
2. The physical environment
How the building and grounds are made accessible.
3. Access to information
Making sure information is available to everyone.
Why it matters
It helps ensure that children with disabilities are not disadvantaged and can take part in school life as fully as possible alongside their peers.
